Retreats

Time, slowed down.

Multi-day yoga retreats held in considered places across Taiwan — designed for the body that arrives, with the kind of pace that lets it actually be there.

What it feels like.

An Ocean Yoga retreat is a few days that hold their own weight. The mornings open with a long, considered practice — usually outdoors when the weather allows, often in silence for the first hour. Breakfast follows without rush. Then time in between: walking, reading, swimming, sleeping if that's what the body asks for.

An afternoon practice waits — slower, more restorative — and an evening that takes care of itself: a meal, a conversation, the quiet that comes when nobody has anywhere to be. By the second morning, you'll feel time differently. By the third, you'll sometimes forget what day it is. That's part of it.

Time, slowed down.

How they're held.

Retreats run from three to seven nights, depending on the location and intention. Each retreat is led by a teacher — sometimes solo, sometimes with a guest practitioner working alongside. We choose the places carefully: somewhere with the right kind of silence, accommodation that's comfortable without being precious, food that supports the work.

Group sizes are kept manageable so the practice stays personal. Every retreat includes morning and afternoon sessions, all meals, accommodation, and quiet hours that aren't optional. What it doesn't include is a packed schedule — the rest is space.

How they're held.

Who they're for.

Open to anyone. Some retreats are pitched at a particular level (beginners welcome, more experienced practitioners welcome) — most are pitched at the body, not the experience. If you've never practiced before, or if you've practiced for twenty years, the mat is a flat surface; the rest is up to the day.

We particularly welcome students returning after a long break, students who've never done a retreat before, and students who travel solo. The shape of the days is built to make the room feel safe whether you arrive with company or not.
